Recently, it was learned from the Lianyungang Inspection and Quarantine Bureau that the well-known domestic shopping sharing community "Little Red Book" has officially settled in Lianyun District, Lianyungang. Next, "Little Red Book" will launch cross-border e-commerce business in Lianyungang to provide the people of the port city with a more convenient overseas shopping experience. The launch of the "Little Red Book" project marks a major breakthrough in Lianyungang's efforts to attract cross-border e-commerce.
"Little Red Book" was founded in 2013. By deeply cultivating the UGC (user-generated content) shopping sharing community, it has grown into the world's largest consumer word-of-mouth database and community e-commerce platform in just 4 years. It has become a must-have "shopping artifact" for more than 60 million young consumers in more than 200 countries and regions. With the joint support of Lianyungang Customs and Lianyungang Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, Xiaohongshu came to Lianyungang Lianyun District for inspection in early 2016 and gave a high evaluation of Lianyungang's cross-border e-commerce. Over the next year or so, with the assistance of Lianyungang Customs and Inspection, Lianyun District successively built a cross-border e-commerce platform and distribution center, and completed the connection with the data interface of the cross-border e-commerce supervision system of Nanjing Customs and Jiangsu Inspection and Quarantine Bureau. The ultra-high configuration of software and hardware and the urgent willingness of the local government have deepened the confidence and determination of "Little Red Book" to move in.
To serve new business formats, promote new industries, and promote the healthy and stable development of Lianyungang's cross-border e-commerce. The Jiangsu Lianyungang Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has liberated its mind and focused on innovation. In the supervision of cross-border e-commerce, it has gradually formed a "three-all" management model with credit management and risk management as the core, and prior filing, in-process monitoring and post-event traceability as the main line, implementing "full filing of enterprise products, full declaration of imports and exports, and full traceability of quality and safety". While speeding up customs clearance efficiency, we will strictly follow the requirements of the national negative list for cross-border e-commerce imports, conduct accurate inspections, strictly adhere to the bottom line, and strictly prevent the influx of epidemics and inferior goods. In the first half of this year, the staff of Lianyungang Bureau discovered the unqualified turtle pots of South Korea CCC through risk monitoring and supervision management, and reported it in time, which was highly valued by the provincial bureau and received a warning notice from the provincial bureau.
In the next step, the Lianyungang Inspection and Quarantine Bureau will continue to maintain close contact with Xiaohongshu, provide Xiaohongshu with more complete and convenient customs clearance services, start with the "Internet +" thinking, guide and regulate the healthy development of the cross-border e-commerce industry from the aspects of product quality and safety, and create a new benchmark for inspection and quarantine services.
