What is Amazon variation?
Variation (Amazon variation, also known as parent/child relationship), when we need to upload the same product in multiple colors or multiple attributes, we can upload it using Amazon variation, so that the reviews and Q&A of each individual listing can be accumulated and superimposed together. Amazon’s A9 algorithm gives higher weight to listings with multiple variations, which can gain more exposure and traffic.
How to merge variations?
The easiest way to merge two listings into one variant is to modify it through the Amazon inventory template.
1) Download an Inventory File
Inventory > Add Products via Upload > Download an Inventory File.
2) Create a new parent variation in the top row and set a SKU for it. You don’t need to set UPC/EAN and other information.
3) Add the listing you want to merge as a child variation under the parent variation, enter the original listing information in the TUVW field, and finally set the Update_Delete field to UPDATE.
