What is SVHC testing?
SVHC testing refers to the detection of the content of substances controlled by SVHC in the REACH regulations. It is a method of analyzing the presence and content of SVHC in products through chemical analysis.
Why do we need to report SVHC?
The EU implements REACH regulations on products circulated within its territory. Products within the EU must comply with the various obligations of the REACH Regulation in order to be legally produced or imported. Countries have passed strict regulatory and punitive measures in response to REACH legislation. EU customs can conduct REACH compliance reviews. In what situations is SVHC testing required?
Annex XIV of the REACH Regulation is the candidate list of SVHC. The REACH Regulation stipulates that the manufacturer or importer of an article shall notify ECHA of substances of very high concern (SVHC) that meet the following two conditions:
●The total content of SVHC substances in articles exceeds 1t/y/producer or importer;
●The total content of SVHC substances in the article exceeds 0.1% by mass.
