What is Voonik?

Founded in August 2015, Voonik is a non-branded fashion e-commerce startup that currently has 10 million registered users and 8 million app downloads. On the supply side, Voonik already has more than 1.5 million products and more than 15,000 sellers on the platform.

After much restructuring, Bengaluru-based Indian fashion e-commerce company Voonik announced that it has merged with Bangladeshi startup ShopUp, making it the second e-commerce company to merge with a relatively small foreign company after ShopClues, which recently merged with Singapore's Qoo10.

Voonik's main products:

Products include clothes, underwear, panties, pajamas, swimwear, sportswear, bags, jewelry, lipstick, etc.

Voonik’s financing:

In August 2015, Voonik received a $500,000 seed round of financing.

In August 2015, it received US$6.5 million in Series A funding from SeedFund Sequoia Capital.

In June 2016, Indian online fashion platform Voonik received US$20 million in Series B funding, led by Sequoia Capital. In addition, Times Internet, Seedfund, Beenos, Beenext, Parkwood Bespin, Tancom Investments, the investment division of Singapore diesel engine parts & technology supplier Tancom, and FreeCharge CEO Kunal Shah also participated in this round of financing.

In August 2016, Voonik recently completed a debt financing of US$3 million from InnoVenCapital.

In February 2017, it received a strategic investment of US$6 million from Sequoia Capital China SeedFundSequoia Capital.
