What is C-tick certification?
C-tick certification is an Australian EMC certification project. The laboratory provides a C-tick test report, and then the Australian importer uses the C-tick test report for registration. A/C-Tick is a certification mark issued by the Australian Communications Authority (ACA) for communication equipment.
C-tick certification categories are generally divided into three categories:
Category 1 products: products with low interference radiation to devices using the wireless spectrum, such as manual switches, simple relays, unidirectional squirrel cage inductors, resistors, etc. Such products can voluntarily apply to use the C-Tick mark when they are produced and sold.
Category II products: products that have high interference radiation to devices using the wireless spectrum, such as switching power supplies, welding machines, dimmers, and most household appliances.
Category III products: products that cause extremely high interference to devices using the wireless spectrum, i.e. products covered by CISPR11 and CISPR22. Since applicants for registration with ACA to use the C-TICK mark are limited to companies registered in Australia or New Zealand, they can apply through buyers in Australia or New Zealand or through a branch/partner certification body in Australia or New Zealand.
What is the certification process for C-tick certification?
1. The manufacturer or agent submits an oral or written preliminary application to the certification company.
2. The applicant fills in the application form and sends it together with the product manual and technical documents to the certification company.
3. The certification company formulates a plan and provides a quotation
4. The applicant confirms the quotation, signs the quotation, and sends the samples and relevant technical documents to the certification company
5. Applicants provide technical documents
6. The certification company issues a fee notice to the applicant, and the applicant prepays the certification fee according to the fee notice.
7. The certification company reviews the technical documents and organizes relevant certification activities
8. If the technical documents are incomplete or do not use the specified language, the certification company will notify the applicant to improve
9. If the test fails, the certification company will promptly notify the applicant and decide whether to suspend the project based on the situation. The applicant will be allowed to improve the product. The applicant should change the technical information in the original application to reflect the actual situation after the change.
10. The certification company provides the applicant with a test report or technical documents
11. The Australian importer Beishu& submits a report to the Australian Communications Authority (ACA) to apply for a registration number.
