Amazon is the world's largest cross-border e-commerce platform. In addition to the large number of people buying things, there are also many sellers from China. If we want to open a store on Amazon, what policies must we know?
1. Attempts to divert transactions or buyers Any attempt to circumvent established Amazon sales processes or to divert Amazon users to other websites or sales processes is prohibited.
Specifically, any advertisements, marketing messages (special offers), or "calls to action" that direct, prompt, or encourage Amazon customers to leave the Amazon website are prohibited. This includes using email or including a hyperlink, URL or web address in any seller-generated confirmation email message or in any product/listing description field.
2. Unauthorized and inappropriate business names Your business name (used to identify your business entity on Amazon) must meet the following requirements: it can accurately identify your identity; it will not cause misunderstanding; you have the right to use the name (that is, the name must not contain the trademark of others, nor infringe any trademark rights or other intellectual property rights of others in other ways). Additionally, you may not use a business name that includes an email suffix (e.g., .com, .net, .biz, etc.).
3. Communicating via email in an inappropriate manner It is prohibited to actively send emails to Amazon buyers (email communications regarding order delivery and related customer service may be conducted when necessary), and any type of marketing-related email communications are prohibited.
4. Improper handling of buyer phone numbers Amazon provides professional sellers who fulfill their own orders with access to buyer phone numbers so that they can comply with carrier label requirements. If you receive this buyer information, you are subject to Amazon’s Buyer Personal Information Policy, which is included in our Seller Agreement. Please review the policy and guidelines below to ensure you are using the buyer's phone number appropriately. Correctly handle the buyer's phone number: Print on the label to comply with carrier requirements. Once you have processed a buyer's order, dispose of any buyer's phone number you retain. Monitor who in your organization has access to buyer phone numbers; it is your responsibility to keep this data secure. Avoid mishandling buyer phone numbers: Never use a buyer’s phone number to contact a buyer. When contacting a buyer regarding their order, use only Buyer-Seller Messaging. For more information, see our Buyer-Seller Messaging FAQ. Never disclose the buyer’s phone number to outside parties. Never pass on any type of buyer information (including phone numbers) outside of Buyer-Seller Messaging.
5. Provide direct email addresses Buyers and sellers can communicate through "Buyer-Seller Messages".
6. Use of Multiple Seller Accounts Operating and maintaining multiple Seller Platform accounts is prohibited. If you have a legitimate business need to apply for a second account, you can apply for a policy exemption: 1. Go to Us. 2. Click I want to open a store, then select My Account and Other Account Issues. In your application, please explain the legitimate business need for a second account. To be approved, the following conditions must be met: · You must have a separate bank account for each of your Seller Central accounts. We will not approve multiple Seller Central accounts using the same bank account in the same region. If you sell products in different regions (for example, North America and Europe), you can use the same bank account for multiple Seller Central accounts as long as they are linked through Amazon Global Selling. Each account must use a unique email address. The goods and services sold in each account must be different. You must have good performance indicators. We will respond to your request within 2-3 business days. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in account closure.
7. Abuse of Amazon sales services If a seller repeatedly uploads large amounts of data, or otherwise uses the site excessively or unreasonably, Amazon will restrict the seller's ability to use the abused product upload data or any other site features until the seller stops abusing.
