What is PartFinder? What are the functions of PartFinder? Today I will introduce to you Amazon’s new feature PartFinder.
Prime Day has just passed, and Amazon quietly updated its mobile app and added a new feature called PartFinder. Buyers just need to open the app and point their phone camera at a part to scan it, and Amazon will find the corresponding product for you.
Amazon said that PartFinder can help users find some fasteners, namely screws, nuts, bolts, and washers, but when it comes to different subdivisions and sizes of parts, the number of parts that can be scanned and identified can reach tens of thousands. Although Amazon has not officially announced the launch of this feature, foreign media have confirmed that Amazon did launch this feature to all users a few weeks ago. Amazon also said the feature will be expanded to other replacement parts soon.
What is PartFinder? How to use?
PartFinder is a new feature in Amazon's image search. This feature is mainly for parts identification and is for Amazon buyers. To turn on "PartFinder", users simply open the Amazon mobile client, select the camera icon in the upper right corner, then click on the bottom of the screen and select "PartFinder".
For example: If a user is looking for a screw but does not know how to describe it, you can open "PartFinder", place your sample screw on a piece of white paper, and then aim the camera at the screw. During the product recognition process, Amazon will prompt you how to place the screw to improve the recognition accuracy. Amazon also takes measurements of your products. After recognition, the system will display more detailed classification options (with corresponding picture guidance) based on the recognition results, and users can directly narrow the search scope by selecting. This application makes it easier for people to find various parts online.
The bad news is that the "PartFinder" feature is currently only available for iOS, and it is unclear when Android users will be able to use it.
New features from A9
This new feature comes from A9, a company owned by Amazon. The company's A9 algorithm is the core algorithm for Amazon's product search ranking and product evaluation ranking. It is also a decisive factor in the seller's product conversion rate. Many sellers have racked their brains to study the A9 algorithm, but the company's A9 algorithm is still very mysterious.
Currently, the new feature PartFinder has been integrated into the Amazon shopping application. This new feature enables consumers to find various parts online more conveniently, attracting more convenience-seeking consumers to buy related products on Amazon. Sellers of related categories on Amazon are expected to achieve a new wave of traffic and sales growth with the help of this feature.
