At the end of October, many Amazon sellers received a red flag email notification saying, "New shipping settings are now available for your account. The deadline for migrating your account is approaching, after which your account will be automatically migrated. Click here to learn more and start the migration." Isn't this Chinese translation a bit confusing? Sellers can't understand what they need to migrate? In fact, we just need to invite FBM sellers to switch to the new shipping fee setting function.
What permissions does Amazon's new FBM setting have?
1. Seller Fulfilled Prime Program (only for eligible sellers in the United States);
2. Provide same-day delivery service for products (only for eligible sellers in the United States);
3. Set different shipping rates for two-day delivery by state;
4. Set international shipping costs and delivery speeds by country/region;
5. Set different delivery settings for different SKU sets.
How to set up new delivery FBM?
During the FBM freight setting process, just follow the backend setting prompts step by step. Note: When following the steps, if it is not a media category, it is the same as the previous template, except that 20 templates can be added later, for different SKUs and countries, just like the templates of AliExpress, which can be added at will.
Many seller friends may have questions when they encounter the operation "delivery adjustment is no longer supported". This step is to remind sellers that "media products will not be migrated to the new shipping template settings". Click "Next" and a reminder will appear (see the picture below). Check "I understand that shipping adjustments are deprecated" and click "Continue".
Note: When following the steps, if it is not a media category, it is the same as the previous template, except that 20 templates can be added later, for different SKUs and countries, just like the templates of AliExpress, which can be added at will.
The setup process is as simple as following the steps and activating it.
Amazon's new delivery FBM related issues
1. Will the new delivery settings affect FBA shipments?
The new delivery template setting is mainly for self-delivery. If you are shipping by FBA, it will not be affected. Previously, all SKUs could only use a unified template setting. After the upgrade, they can be set for a single SKU, which is more user-friendly.
Regardless of whether you upgrade manually or not, all accounts will be forcibly migrated after November 8th. In other words, for domestic shipments, FBA will not be affected. If you don’t have self-shipped products, it doesn’t matter if you don’t set it up.
2. Does the new shipping fee setting function support Shipping Overrides?
The new shipping setting function does not support Shipping Overrides. The new shipping setting will not save the old settings. If you have used Shipping Overrides in the old shipping setting,
Overrides, you can first download the Shipping Overrides Report, which can be reset as a template in the new shipping settings. Amazon New Delivery FBM Shipping Fee Setting Tutorial
When changing to the new settings, you can download the Shipping Overrides Report first.
