Shanghai Cross-Border E-Commerce Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association) was established on January 20, 2014 and is registered in Shanghai, China. It is the first cross-border e-commerce industry association in China. The association’s business supervisory department is the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, and it is also supervised and guided by the Shanghai Municipal Social Organizations Administration.
The association currently has nearly 200 member units, mainly from six categories: cross-border platforms, e-commerce platforms, international trade, cross-border logistics, cross-border finance, and third-party services, covering all links of the cross-border e-commerce industry chain. Representative enterprises with cross-border e-commerce businesses in China and Shanghai are basically members of this association.
The first president of the association is China Eastern Airlines Logistics Co., Ltd., and the current president is Mr. Li Jiupeng, general manager of China Eastern Airlines Logistics Co., Ltd., and Ms. Xia Shifeng, secretary general.
The association's purpose is to abide by the state constitution, laws, national and local regulations and social ethics, implement the principles and policies of the Party, the state and the local government, focus on the goal of building Shanghai's "four centers", and serve as a bridge of communication between the government and enterprises; use various forms of communication, research, consultation, coordination, training, evaluation, etc. to provide services to the industry and members, assist the government in industry management, maintain market order, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of members, and promote the prosperity and development of the industry.
The association carries out activities within the scope of government authorization, including: standard setting, consulting services, industry research, data statistics, exhibition activities, talent training, cooperation and exchange, industry self-discipline and undertaking matters commissioned by the government.
The Association warmly welcomes enterprises, non-governmental organizations, scientific research institutions and other economic organizations engaged in cross-border e-commerce from all over the world to join and make positive contributions to promoting global trade facilitation and the well-being of people around the world.
