Request like-for-like quotations
Use the same weight, external dimensions, product category, declared value and destination. Disclose batteries, liquids or other handling restrictions. Minimum prices based on different conditions are not comparable.
Separate the additional charges
Ask about storage, picking, packaging, peak-season or fuel surcharges, remote areas, address correction, returns and disposal. Document who handles duties, clearance and claims. Confirm the routes and restrictions for your particular goods and destinations.
Measure exceptions as well as speed
Track a small shipment sample through dispatch, pickup, transit and delivery. Do not present the fastest parcel as a general promise. When tracking stops, record the response time, owner and requested evidence.
Align storefront promises with operations
Distinguish handling time from transit time. Update delivery information when routes or capacity change. Reconcile unexpected charges to specific orders, not just the overall invoice total.
