Editorial and review standards

How listings, editorial assessments, user reviews and promotional placements are kept separate.

A directory is not a test lab

A profile summarizes a product’s purpose and links to its provider. A source-based comparison is labeled as such. An actual test report should identify the version, dates, scenarios, limitations and relevant commercial relationships.

Reviews must describe real experience

Only submit experiences you can honestly describe. Do not impersonate a customer, manufacture transactions, copy another person’s review or submit promotional text as independent feedback. Explain material relationships, including employment, paid cooperation or gifted access.

Moderation and corrections

We may hold, reject or remove spam, privacy violations, unsupported accusations and deceptive content. Disagreement alone is not a reason to remove a critical review. Corrections should identify the page, the disputed statement and useful evidence. Public ratings use published user reviews only.

Promotional content

Any promotional placement must be visibly identified. Paying for exposure must not change the calculation of user ratings. Examples with assumed figures are labeled as hypothetical and must not be presented as client results.
