Review a landing-page experiment without overclaiming

A change in results is not enough to identify which simultaneous change caused it.

Methodology & limitations

Editorial guidance and source-based analysis. No controlled hands-on product benchmark is claimed.

Keep a separate change list

Suppose a team changes the headline, lowers the price and changes the ad audience, then sees more orders. That observation concerns the new combination, not the isolated effect of the headline. This is a hypothetical method example, not a client success story.

Check the comparison

Consider traffic source, devices, countries, promotions and observation periods. Exclude test orders appropriately and account for repeated visits. Under different discounts, compare revenue, refunds and costs alongside order counts.

Make the next test smaller

Where practical, change one principal variable, preserve screenshots and record configuration. Set the main outcome and budget boundary beforehand. Do not declare a newly improved secondary metric to have been the original objective.

Limit the conclusion to the evidence

A useful review explains constraints, unsuccessful approaches and the next step. Keep audience, conditions and version dates beside the conclusion so another operator can judge its relevance.
