What is Amazon's Eco-Friendly Packaging Program?
On September 17, 2018, Amazon officially launched an incentive program for suppliers of environmentally friendly packaging based on the concepts of environmental protection and customer service, namely the Frustration-Free Packaging Vendor Incentive Program.
Amazon will give these early suppliers a $1.00/unit reward for completing packaging certification before August 1, 2019. This incentive is only available for products certified under Amazon’s Eco-Friendly Packaging Program guidelines (Tier 1 – FFP or Tier 2 – SIOC) between September 17 and July 31, 2018. The award is intended to assist with transition costs associated with the program and will be paid as a one-time award in August.
