On July 15, Amazon Global Selling announced that the Australia and New Zealand export plan was launched. Sellers can immediately start selling in both Australia and New Zealand at no additional charge.
It is reported that the Australia-New Zealand export plan reaches a wider group of buyers. Buyers in Australia and New Zealand can purchase products on Amazon Europe, and sellers' product sales are expected to increase.
Also, there is no additional cost. Sellers only need to pay Amazon regular operating and logistics fees and do not need to pay any additional fees for the program. Amazon Logistics (FBA) sellers are only responsible for paying the delivery fees of Amazon Logistics; self-delivery sellers only need to pay the sales commission of Amazon Australia.
Sellers can also enjoy exclusive benefits for Amazon Logistics (FBA) sellers - no additional action required. Amazon Logistics will be responsible for delivering sellers' orders to New Zealand and handling export matters including customer service and returns, thereby simplifying the process of selling goods to New Zealand and greatly reducing sellers' workload.
The eligibility criteria for the New Zealand export program include: the goods must meet export requirements and comply with all applicable laws, including trade control laws of Australia or other jurisdictions, Amazon policies, etc. Amazon Logistics sellers should note that the products cannot be products prohibited by Amazon Logistics.
Data shows that in , New Zealand's per capita GDP was as high as more than 40,000 US dollars. As of January 2018, approximately 88% of New Zealanders aged 16 to 64 are accustomed to searching and purchasing products and services online, indicating that cross-border e-commerce has great potential.
In addition to the New Zealand export program launched on Amazon Australia, Amazon India launched the "Focus on Northeast" program and launched a dedicated page to showcase unique products and jewelry from India's Northeast region to Indian consumers.
