On July 16, Amazon announced that Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) will be integrated with BigCommerce, and merchants on the platform can complete orders through MCF.
It is understood that this integration allows merchants on BigCommerc to use Amazon's order fulfillment service to handle their e-commerce orders, regardless of whether they sell on Amazon. Sellers only need to send inventory to Amazon's operations center, and then Amazon will take over to complete the order.
Sharon Geeb, general manager of BigCommerce omnichannel, said that Amazon MCF will strengthen the company's omnichannel strategy and help BigCommerce merchants prepare and ship goods in a more efficient way. BigCommerce also said that merchants on its platform will replace Amazon rates with flat rates or offer free shipping options, and that inventory limits for sellers using Amazon MCF will be the same as those for sellers using FBA.
It is reported that Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) is a program of Amazon Logistics (FBA). Through MCF, sellers can use the tools in their seller accounts to create multi-channel delivery shipments to Amazon, and then submit orders for Amazon to deliver, while also managing customer service for these orders. In addition, with the help of multi-channel delivery, sellers can also expand their business scale and properly cope with the surge in orders during the peak sales season, providing buyers with next-day and two-day delivery services.
It is worth mentioning that MCF orders come from the seller’s own website or other platforms, not from the Amazon platform, so they are not eligible for "Prime". Because MCF orders are placed outside of Amazon, the shipping costs paid by customers will be determined by the merchant.
