Cross-border e-commerce is on the rise and we have the ability to sell products directly to end consumers. How foreign consumers know and recognize us - this proves that it is particularly important to build our own brand. First of all, why should you register a brand?
1. Protect the brand and prevent copycats from being unable to protect their own rights;
2. Apply for product lock to prevent product data from being changed and have more control over the product;
3. Save UPC. After registering your brand, you don’t need UPC to upload listings.
So how do you create your own brand on Amazon?
1) Brand registration abroad. For the US site, register the US trademark, and for the UK site, register the EU trademark, because there is a pass rate for trademark registration. It is recommended that trademark registration can be carried out through an agency. Professionals should do professional things. Sellers only need to do a good job in brand marketing operations and promotion.
2) To register your brand on Amazon, you only need to prepare your website, an email with your website as the suffix, and two product pictures. Once submitted to Amazon, you have 48 hours to complete your registration. Once you have completed the registration, you will be given a code called a GCID which you can keep private. However, the GCID code is not available immediately after it is completed. You can use a batch upload mode, fill in some numbers in the Manu factory Part Number, upload it to the backend, and then you can get the GCID code and your listing will be protected.
Once you have your own registered trademark brand, you can sell products boldly and confidently. When others infringe on the ownership of our products, we can also stand up to protect our own interests!
