Amazon logistics fees are the fees of Amazon FBA. The full name of Amazon FBA is Fulfillment by Amazon, which refers to the warehousing and shipping services provided by Amazon. That is, Amazon opens its platform to third-party sellers, incorporates their inventory into Amazon's global logistics network, and provides them with picking, packaging and terminal delivery services. Amazon charges service fees.
So what exactly does Amazon’s logistics fees include?
FBA
FBA Fees = Fulfillment Fees + Monthly Storage Fees + Inventory Placement Service
Fulfillment Fees = Order Handling + Pick & Pack + Weight Handling
1. FBA order delivery fee
FBA delivery fees depend on the weight and size of the product after packaging (product size segmentation). Standard-size products are products that weigh 20 pounds or less when fully packaged and are no longer than the following:
* Longest side 18 inches
* Second longest side 14 inches
* Shortest side 8 inches
2. FBA Inventory Storage Fees
Monthly inventory storage fee
Amazon generally charges storage fees for the previous month between the 7th and 15th of the following month. Storage fees vary by product size tier and month. Although standard-size items are typically smaller than oversized items, they require more complex and costly racking, cabineting, and boxing to store. However, fees are charged per cubic foot, which means that total storage costs for standard-sized items may be lower than for oversized items (based on volume).
3. Removal Order Fee
Removal fees are charged per item removed. Typically, removal orders are processed within 10-14 business days. However, during the holiday season and peak removal periods (February, March, August, and September), it may take up to 30 days or more to process a removal order.
4. Return Processing Fee
The return processing fee applies to customer returns of products sold on Amazon that are in categories for which Amazon offers free return shipping, including the following categories:
* clothing
* Clocks
* Jewelry
* Shoes, handbags and sunglasses
* Luggage
The return processing fee is equal to the total shipping cost for a given item. This fee applies to units sold on Amazon in select categories for which we offer free customer return shipping that are actually returned to an Amazon fulfillment center.
When multiple items are shipped to a customer in a single order, the return processing fee for each item may be higher than the total shipping fee.
