Search Terms are used by Amazon to match customer searches and display highly relevant products to customers. They are often referred to as "Amazon keywords" in the industry.
How to write Search Terms?
1. Can contain abbreviations and aliases
2. No need to use punctuation marks, such as “:”\“;”\“,”
3. Use spaces to separate words, without commas, semicolons, or carets
4. Do not include product identification information such as ASIN, UPC code, compatible product name, brand name, product name, etc.
5. No need for various conjunctions, such as: a, an, at, and, in, by, for, of, the, with, etc.
6. No need for filler words (such as: uh, er, so, but, etc.) These words will be automatically omitted by Amazon
7. Do not include your brand or other brand names
8. Do not repeat words in other fields, such as product names
9. There is no difference between uppercase and lowercase, so there is no need to fill in the words in uppercase and lowercase. You can use all lowercase.
10. There is no need to fill in repeated words, such as "sport bottle" and "portable bottle". The repetition of bottle is unnecessary.
What are the tips for filling out Search Terms?
1. Making good use of hyphens (-) can reduce unnecessary repeated words. Adding hyphens to keywords can include all keyword combinations and individual words. For example, for a keyword like "anti-aging", valid words include "anti", "aging", "anti-aging", "anti aging", and "antiaging".
2. No need to worry about the singular or plural form or uppercase or lowercase letters of words. As long as you type in one of the forms, the system search will automatically include singular and plural results as well as uppercase and lowercase results, so just choose one when filling in the keywords.
3. Never use exclamation marks (!). If you use exclamation marks, the search term must have an exclamation mark, which means that it must be exactly the same as your keyword containing an exclamation mark in order to be found. Do not use commas to separate different keywords, just use a space.
4. Two names of items can be written. Different countries, regions, and people have different names for the same product. For example, some people call mobile power banks "power banks" and "travel chargers." Lamps are called "lamp" and "light." All of these can be written down.
