On October 13, it was learned from Nantong Airport Industrial Park that the cross-border e-commerce of Nantong Airport Industrial Park shipped more than 2,000 orders per day, ranking first in the province.
The systematic sampling mode of Nantong's cross-border e-commerce customs supervision platform was officially launched in the park in September, which is the first time in the province. Through this random export inspection method, customs has improved the efficiency of cargo clearance. Wang Bingkun, relevant person in charge of the Airport Industrial Park, introduced that since the system sampling mode of the cross-border e-commerce customs supervision platform was put into operation, the goods exported from Nantong through this mode can not only comply with export regulations but also improve customs clearance efficiency. The average daily shipment volume in September increased by about 40% month-on-month. As of the end of September, the cross-border trade e-commerce platform of Nantong Airport Industrial Park had cleared more than 60,000 export orders, with a total export value of more than US$700,000. Wang Bingkun said: "At present, we ship more than 2,000 orders per day on average, ranking first in the province. The peak was before the National Day, with more than 3,000 orders shipped per day."
Relying on the advantages of the airport, Nantong Airport Industrial Park officially became the only cross-border trade e-commerce pilot zone in Nantong City in December last year, and launched cross-border export business on January 15 this year. The exported goods are mainly clothing, bedding, fitness equipment, and daily accessories. The export countries include more than 200 countries including the United States, Russia, Brazil, and Japan. At present, many e-commerce companies and logistics platform companies have settled in the Airport Industrial Park.
"The current e-commerce warehouse is a temporary warehouse, which is established in cooperation with the airport. Customs and national inspection jointly work here. It is expected that by the end of December this year, the first phase of the cross-border e-commerce warehouse with a construction area of more than 5,000 square meters will be completed. By then, a cross-border e-commerce supervision model with two inlets and two outlets and a total of four assembly lines will be formed. This is also at the forefront of the province." Wang Bingkun said.
