Today I will introduce to you the two major evaluation systems in Amazon’s seller management system: Feedback and Review.
For many consumers, when they have the desire to buy a product, they do not understand the characteristics of the product itself. Experienced sellers will refer to product reviews. In this case, consumer reviews are very important to sellers because their comments will directly affect whether other sellers buy your products. Today I will introduce to you the two major evaluation systems in Amazon’s seller management system: Feedback and Review.
Although the two are different rating systems, they are both important for sellers. The similarities between the two are that they allow buyers to evaluate the seller's products and services and will have an impact on the seller.
What is the difference between Feedback and Review?
1 Feedback belongs to the store and is left by customers, while Review belongs to Listing and is left by platform users.
2 Feedback is the evaluation made by customers regarding the purchased orders, and its evaluation content includes product quality, service level, delivery time and consistency between the items and the description. Review is an evaluation made by Amazon users on product listings. Review only targets the product itself and does not include other aspects.
3. Users can make reviews themselves, but for users who have not purchased, they cannot make feedback to the seller’s store after leaving a review.
4 The quality of Feedback will directly affect the change of ODR indicators, and Listing will directly affect the exposure and ranking of the Listing.
Next, we will talk about how sellers receive the first review after a new product is launched and how to manage their own reviews.
First point, cross zero comments
For sellers on Amazon, it is important to know how to get the first review when launching a new product. So how can new sellers get their first review?
1. Ask friends or acquaintances to buy and leave reviews. Asking friends or acquaintances to buy and leave reviews is the method recommended by the editor. When a new product is first launched, you can invite your acquaintances, friends or old customers to purchase it and leave reviews. Such reviews are more authentic and credible. Of course, the premise of this method is that you have these relatives and friends in the country where the product is sold.
Send products to top reviewers If you are a seller who has no friends or relatives overseas, sending products to top reviewers is also a good choice to get reviews. Send the product to the reviewer, and they will write down their experience after using the product. Of course, the reviewer's evaluation results are very fair. They will only make evaluations based on the product itself, so if the product is not good, they will also leave a bad review.
Leverage the power of emails: Sending emails to consumers who purchased your product within 10 to 14 days of the sale and asking for reviews is the most common and effective way, as consumers often give feedback to sellers.
Second, manage your reviews
The Amazon platform has a self-inspection system that will randomly check product reviews. The system will automatically delete any reviews that violate the rules. The purpose of this is to objectively and truthfully reflect the accurate information of the listing. For sellers, it also provides an opportunity to protect their rights in the face of malicious reviews. At the same time, buyers can modify or delete Feedback and Reviews within a certain period of time. When bad Feedback or Reviews are found, they can contact the person who left the review in time to communicate with him and solve the problem. If some low-star reviews do not have a big impact, sellers can keep them. After all, nothing is perfect in the world, and leaving some low-star reviews will make consumers feel more authentic.
Third, evaluation management suggestions
On the Amazon platform, the number of Feedback is about 10 times the number of Reviews. Sellers can check Feedback every day, contact super satisfied customers who have left four-star or five-star Feedback, and thank them for their evaluation.
Recently, Amazon has taken an aggressive stance towards product reviews on its platform: any product review that Amazon suspects is manipulated to leave only positive reviews is considered a violation of Amazon policy. Amazon only wants to feature authentic reviews based on real user experiences on the platform.
Amazon considers the following to be violations of this policy:
1. Write a review before receiving the product;
2. Reviews are sold at a discount without prior notice;
3. In order to get reviews, sellers offer discounts;
4. Sellers select reviewers who only provide positive reviews in advance; therefore, sellers must be careful not to violate the above policy.
