What is Amazon Free Shipping?
Only Prime Amazon sellers and VC sellers can use the priority shipping service to ensure fast and reliable delivery service to Amazon Prime members. In the United States, priority shipping services include:
1) Same-day delivery
2) One-day delivery
3) Two-day delivery
Sellers who wish to use the priority service must meet the following qualifications:
1) Selling on Amazon for more than 90 days
2) Effective tracking rate (VTR) ＞99%
3) On-time delivery rate ＞97%
4) Order cancellation rate < 0.5%
If the seller's performance does not meet the above requirements, the priority shipping service may be revoked. If eligibility is revoked, sellers may submit an action plan to apply for reinstatement.
Eligibility for Same-Day Delivery
Same-day delivery is only available to sellers on the Professional selling plan and is currently only available in the following U.S. cities:
1) Los Angeles
2) San Diego
3) Miami
4) Chicago
5) New York
To apply for same-day delivery, you must
1) Have a professional seller account
2) Selling on Amazon for more than 90 days
3) Can ship within one hour after receiving the order and provide a valid logistics tracking number
What are the requirements for Amazon Free Priority Shipping?
If the seller cannot maintain the following indicators, he will not be able to use the one-day delivery logistics service.
1) Seller Account
To use the one-day delivery service, you should have been selling on Amazon for at least 90 days. The account is displayed as [Active] or [Vendor].
2) On-time delivery rate
With one-day delivery services, at least 95% of orders should be delivered on time within EDD (Expected Delivery Time).
If you receive your order before 1pm on a working day, the EDD is one working day from the order date.
If the order is received after 1:00 PM on a weekday, or on a weekend or holiday, the EDD is two business days from the time the order is submitted.
Note: If the seller ships the item but the package is not delivered successfully, it will still be considered delivered.
3) On-time delivery rate
To use one-day delivery service, at least 99% of orders must be shipped before the ESD (Expected Ship Date).
If you receive your order before 2pm (EST) on a business day, the effective ESD is for that day;
If you receive your order after 2pm EST on a weekday, or on a weekend or holiday, the effective ESD is one business day after the order was submitted.
4) Effective order tracking rate
To use a one-day delivery service, you need to provide consumers with a reliable and traceable delivery method, such as UPS, FedEx, USPS or OnTrac, as well as a valid order tracking number. Premium Shipping options require a valid order tracking rate of at least 94%.
Suggestion: Although choosing FBA delivery may be a considerable investment for you, using Amazon FBA delivery allows you to let Amazon handle various logistics issues, which can reduce a lot of risks.
Note: Amazon will determine whether the seller is eligible for priority shipping service based on their performance in the past 30 days. In addition, the order tracking number must have at least one courier scan record to be considered valid.
5) Performance Standards
To use one-day delivery services, the order cancellation rate should remain below 1.5% and at least 10 orders should be generated in the past 30 days.
