Amazon Global Selling "Service+" Plan

Amazon is going to launch the "Service+" plan for global store openings. So what is Amazon's "Service+" plan for global store openings? Let’s take a look with the editor!

What is Amazon’s Global Selling “Service+” program?

Dai Xuefei, Vice President of Amazon China and Head of Amazon Global Selling in Asia Pacific, said: "At present, China's cross-border e-commerce is booming, which brings huge opportunities to Chinese companies, but also new issues and challenges. Amazon Global Selling fully relies on its global resources to provide customized solutions that meet the needs of Chinese sellers. As the first implementation project of the 2018 'New Products and New Services' strategy, Amazon Global Selling's 'Service+' plan will fully rely on the rich experience and expertise of the local team, focus on the training of Chinese cross-border e-commerce talents, accelerate the e-commerce transformation of Chinese companies' cross-border exports, and promote the sustainable development of the cross-border e-commerce export industry."

In 2017, Amazon’s third-party sellers’ sales exceeded 50% of Amazon’s total global sales for the first time, among which cross-border e-commerce sales of small and medium-sized enterprises accounted for more than 25% of Amazon’s total third-party business sales. This also means unlimited business opportunities for cross-border sellers from China. The launch of Amazon Global Selling’s “Service+” program will help comprehensively improve the ability of Chinese sellers to expand their cross-border export business through Amazon Global Selling. Currently, the plan specifically includes:

Official Lecture Hall: High-quality offline training is provided by Amazon's official team of professional lecturers, using small-class interactive teaching. The course content is diverse, covering the basic knowledge of cross-border e-commerce, professional advanced courses, and Amazon's latest site rules and information sharing. The instructor will also analyze individual seller cases and provide after-class Q&A. Sellers who pass the test after training will also receive an official training certificate and official alumni association qualification. Currently, the official lecture halls cover Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Shenzhen, and will be gradually promoted nationwide.

The first course launched in the official classroom is "Required Course for Cross-border E-commerce", which is mainly aimed at people with zero cross-border e-commerce experience, such as unregistered people (such as enterprises, entrepreneurs, job seekers, and fresh graduates), newly registered sellers, or new employees of registered sellers. There are no application conditions and the content covers the eight major topics that must be learned from 0 to 1 for cross-border e-commerce, including understanding Amazon, product selection analysis, operational skills, Amazon Business, logistics solutions, advertising products, brand building, and performance management.

Amazon Global Selling has announced the May courses on its official website and the official public account of “Amazon Global Selling”, and will announce the next month’s courses on its official website and the official public account of “Amazon Global Selling” every month for interested persons to register and apply.

Seller Transformation Consulting: Mainly for Chinese professional sales account sellers who have been selling on Amazon overseas sites for less than one year, helping them to establish cross-border e-commerce development strategies, clarify cross-border online retail business models, and accelerate their own transformation and business launch.

Seller transformation consulting will help factories and brand owners build business models that adapt to cross-border retail e-commerce and lay the foundation for their operations on Amazon's international sites from seven aspects: product consumption scale and regional growth trend analysis, product positioning and cost analysis methods, product commercial and cultural demand analysis, production, inventory, logistics arrangement management, operating budget management, human resources management, and business and financial planning.

Dedicated Account Manager Service: Provides personalized and localized guidance to all Chinese professional sellers who sell on Amazon’s overseas sites to help them improve account health and performance, optimize product selection, expand sites, build international brands, and achieve sustainable business growth.

The program focuses on the sustainable development of sellers, with field or industry experts providing one-on-one exclusive services and one-stop communication. The content covers six aspects: operation evaluation and business plan formulation assistance, product and brand promotion, account operation rules introduction and high-quality seller support, Amazon tools and new project introduction, international business expansion and logistics management guidance, providing sellers with practical and effective advice and guidance for their operations.
