The cross-border e-commerce pilot refers to the fact that new business models such as cross-border e-commerce have become a highlight of current foreign trade. The deputy director of the Ministry of Commerce's foreign trade department said that since 2015, the growth rate of cross-border e-commerce exports has exceeded 30%, and market procurement trade has increased by more than 70%, which has prompted a large number of small and medium-sized enterprises to export and become a new growth point for foreign trade, making a positive contribution to stable employment.
The national cross-border trade e-commerce service pilot project jointly carried out by the National Development and Reform Commission and the General Administration of Customs was launched in Zhengzhou on the 19th. Lv Bin, deputy director of the General Administration of Customs, said at the launch meeting that the five cities of Shanghai, Chongqing, Hangzhou, Ningbo and Zhengzhou have a good economic and trade foundation and are qualified to carry out cross-border e-commerce pilot services.
These five cities will pass the pioneering test, relying on the electronic port construction mechanism and platform advantages to achieve business collaboration and data sharing between foreign trade e-commerce enterprises and port management-related departments, and solve the bottleneck problems that restrict development.
