What is VDE certification?
VDE is directly involved in the formulation of German national standards and is one of the most experienced certification bodies in Europe with a high reputation in the world. It completes a total of 18,000 certification projects each year for nearly 2,200 German companies and 2,700 customers from other countries. The VDE Testing and Certification Institute (VDE Testing and Certification Institute) located in Offenbach, Germany is an institute of the German Association of Electrical Engineers (Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker, referred to as VDE) and was established in 1893. As a neutral and independent organization, VDE's laboratories inspect and certify electrical products based on applications, in accordance with German VDE national standards, European EN standards, or IEC International Electrotechnical Commission standards. In many countries, the VDE certification mark is even more famous than the certification mark of their own country, and is especially recognized and valued by importers and exporters.
What is the VDE certification process?
1. Submit the formal application form Form19 and the structural parameter table---it is an important document for applying for VDE.
2 Application confirmation---After receiving the formal application form and structural parameter table, VDE will send invoice, factory inspection questionnaire and other information.
3 Sample delivery---When the VDE application is confirmed, the specific sample delivery requirements and the relevant standards on which the test is based will be informed. After the samples are completed, they must be self-tested according to the standard requirements or sent to relevant domestic laboratories for prediction. Only then can the samples be safely and accurately sent to VDE for testing via express delivery.
1) Once all test items are passed, the applicant will be notified immediately.
2) The test results may also be flawed. For some minor defects, the certification body communicates with VDE and VDE can issue the certificate as long as slight corrections are made without re-submitting samples.
3) When there are important defects in the test results, the certification body will discuss the reasons for the failure with the applicant. If necessary, please ask VDE to send back the samples that failed the test for reference and analysis. After the sample is modified and perfected, the re-inspection procedure will be carried out. If the sample is re-submitted within six months, the re-testing fee will be much cheaper.

5Factory inspection---factory inspection before issuing the certificate and regular or irregular supervisory review after obtaining the certificate. Before the factory inspection, the certification body will assign experts to assist the manufacturer in conducting self-inspections of production facilities, experimental equipment, measurement and the entire quality system against VDE requirements. Assist the manufacturer to discuss corrective measures as soon as possible and implement them promptly until the re-inspection is qualified.
6 Issuance of certificate---On the premise that the factory inspection is successfully passed, if the sample test is qualified, VDE will notify the applicant of the result in time and the VDE certificate will be issued soon.
