What materials are needed to open a store on Amazon US? Amazon US site store opening information

The seller qualification review (also known as “seller identity verification”) process for Amazon’s “Global Selling” to enter the North American site.

Materials required for company sellers

1) ID card of the company legal representative

  • The name on the ID card must be consistent with the name of the legal person on the business license

  • Must be issued by Mainland China, Hong Kong, or Taiwan

  • Please provide color photos/scans of both sides; black and white copies will not be accepted.

  • The image must be clear and readable

  • The ID card should be valid

2) Business license

  • Must be issued by Mainland China, Hong Kong, or Taiwan

    • Mainland China: Business License

    • Hong Kong, China: Certificate of Incorporation and Business Registration Ordinance

    • Taiwan: Limited Company Registration Form/Stock Company Registration Form/Limited Company Change Registration Form/Stock Company Change Registration Form

  • Please provide color photos/scans, black and white copies are not acceptable, and the images must be clear and readable

  • The business license in mainland China should be more than 60 days away from the expiration date, and the business registration regulations in Hong Kong should be more than 45 days away from the expiration date.

  • The address on the business license must be consistent with the business address you filled in on the Seller Platform.


Materials required for individual sellers

1) ID card

  • Must be issued by Mainland China, Hong Kong, or Taiwan

  • Please provide color photos/scans of both sides; black and white copies will not be accepted.

  • The image must be clear and readable

  • The ID card should be valid

  • The address on your ID card must be the same as the office address you filled in on the Seller Central (only applicable to Mainland China and Taiwan)

2) Credit card statement or bank statement or water, electricity or gas bill

  • The name on the bill must match the name on the ID card

  • The bill must be issued by a bank or public utility and must be issued within 90 days.

  • The image must be clear and readable

  • You can hide the monetary amount, but the document must remain intact and the other information must be clearly visible.

  • We do not accept screenshots

  • The billing address must be the same as the office address you filled in the Seller Central (applicable to Hong Kong only)

Other considerations

1. If you are a mainland China company seller, the bank statement upload area is not mandatory and you can choose to upload or place a blank document.

2. If you have multiple copies, merge them into one file for uploading.

3. We do not accept files sent by email. Please upload the information via the link provided.

4. If you are a Hong Kong company seller, you need to submit another document to prove that this director is the actual director of your company. You can submit this document together with your ID card.

(Only for Hong Kong sellers whose legal status in the Business Registration Certificate is a company): Please go to https://www.icris.cr.gov.hk/csci/ (Path: Select Login as a User Without an Account – View – Company Information – Online Viewing) to check the names of your company’s directors and take an online screenshot with the full content and URL link. (Only for Hong Kong sellers whose legal status in the Business Registration Certificate is an individual): Please check the names of your company directors on the Hong Kong Government One-Stop Website, save the complete PDF document generated online and submit it to us. Whether it is a new seller or a seller who has submitted materials but has not yet passed the review, the materials required for the seller review will be based on the new process.
