Amazon Project Zero is now open to the public. Have you participated?

Amazon's Project Zero has recently been fully opened to sellers on seven sites and is no longer an invitation-only program.

Amazon said in an email to sellers:

Thank you for adding your brand to the Amazon Project Zero wait list. We are happy to inform you that starting today, Project Zero is no longer invitation-only. The program is now available to eligible rights owners in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, and Japan. To check if you are eligible, log in with the username and password associated with your Amazon Brand Registry account.

So what does Project Zero do for us sellers?

The editor summarized that there are three main functions:

Automated Protections: Leveraging Amazon’s machine learning expertise, Automated Protections continuously scans the Amazon site and proactively removes suspected counterfeit products. After obtaining brand logos, trademarks and other key brand-related data provided by brand owners, more than 5 billion product listing updates can be scanned every day to find suspected counterfeit goods.

Self-service Counterfeit Removal: This tool empowers brands to remove counterfeit listings on their own. Prior to this, brands needed to report suspected counterfeit products to Amazon, and the Amazon team would investigate and take appropriate action. With Project Zero, brands can quickly and easily remove counterfeit products on their own using this newly launched self-service tool, without having to contact the Amazon team. Brands have unprecedented ability to directly control and remove products from the Amazon site. This tool can also be used in conjunction with the automatic protection feature to help sellers better proactively detect potential counterfeit items in the future.

Product Serialization: Product traceability service can help sellers identify the authenticity of branded products sold on Amazon by scanning barcodes.

The most amazing feature of the three features of Plan Zero is that you can directly delete follow-up sales.

For sellers who work hard on products and build their own brands, Amazon’s follow-selling rules are really annoying. A listing that you have built well will be targeted by follow-selling as soon as sales start to pick up. You will find that the BSR ranking has not changed, but your sales can immediately drop to less than one-tenth of the original level due to the arrival of follow-selling.

Copycats are like a piece of shit that can’t be driven away. Now with Project Zero, it’s a cure-all.

And joining the Zero Plan is free and does not require any additional costs. Except for the third function which is charged at $0.01 – 0.05 per product, the other two functions, namely the function of deleting follow-up sales in seconds, are actually free. How exciting!

How to join Project Zero?

Now the Zero Plan is no longer an invitation-only system, and all sellers can join, but there is a prerequisite, that is, the seller must complete Brand Registration 2.0. Sellers who have completed brand registration can apply through the following dedicated link: https://brandservices.amazon.com/projectzero/waitlist

So if you hate copycats, use it now!
